Welcome to MySummoning! This Privacy Policy explains how Kevin Heavey, a fine artist operating under the pseudonym kevtest.org ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our MySummoning mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect very limited information, focusing only on what is necessary for the App's functionality:

• Google Sign-In Information: The App uses Google Sign-In for authentication. We receive your Google account identifier to recognize you but do not receive or store your Google password.
• Google Gemini API Key: To enable chat functionality, you must provide your own Google Gemini API key. This key is stored securely on your device using Expo's SecureStore and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Chat Conversations: Your conversations with spirit guides are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage to provide chat history. These conversations are not stored on our servers.
• User Settings: Your preferences for features like Daily Guidance (enabled status, time, frequency, spirit selection) are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
• Saved Content: Any "spell intentions" you save and information about which spirits you have unlocked are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
• Notification Permissions (Optional): If you enable the Daily Guidance feature, the App will request permission to send you local notifications. These notifications are processed and scheduled entirely on your device.

We do not collect personal information beyond what is described above.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

• To authenticate you using Google Sign-In
• To facilitate direct communication between your device and the Google Generative AI (Gemini) API using your own API key
• To store your conversation history locally on your device
• To enable the Daily Guidance feature based on your preferences
• To deliver the core functionalities of the App
• To maintain and improve the App

4. Data Transmission and Third-Party Services

When you interact with the App:

• Google Generative AI (Gemini) API: When you send a message to a spirit guide, request guidance, or request rituals, your message, relevant conversation history (retrieved from your device's local storage), and your Gemini API key are sent directly from your device to Google's Generative AI API. These communications do not pass through our servers, and we do not have access to the content of these interactions.
• Google Sign-In: When you sign in using Google, the authentication process is handled by Google. We receive only the information necessary to identify your account but not your password or other sensitive Google account details.

Your use of Google services through the App is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

5. Data Storage

The App stores data locally on your device:

• Your Gemini API key is stored securely using Expo's SecureStore
• Chat conversations, user settings, saved "spell intentions," and spirit unlocking status are stored using AsyncStorage
• None of this data is backed up to or stored on our servers

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With Your Consent: We may share information with third parties when you explicitly consent to such sharing.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via app notification or other prominent notice of any change in ownership or uses of your information.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You have several choices regarding the information you provide to us:

• You can delete all locally stored data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App from your device
• You can revoke notification permissions through your device settings
• You can change or delete your API key within the App settings
• You can sign out of your Google account within the App

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information stored within the App on your device. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information stored on your device.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 years or older and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Artistic and Entertainment Purposes Only

MySummoning is designed as an artistic creation and for entertainment purposes only. The App is a creative work that expresses artistic concepts through technological means and provides AI-generated content that simulates interactions with fictional "spirit guides." All responses, guidance, rituals, and other content generated through the App are works of fiction created by artificial intelligence and should not be mistaken for factual information, spiritual or religious doctrine, or professional advice of any kind.

As an artistic expression, the spirit personas, visual elements, and conceptual framework of MySummoning represent original creative works protected by intellectual property rights. We expressly disclaim all liability for any actions taken or decisions made based on the content generated by the App. Do not use this App for making important life, health, financial, legal, or other significant decisions.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will provide notice through the App or by other means to provide you with the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
